A walk around ones neighbourhood and you will probably find some unusual plant emerging from someone's front yard. A common sight in Wellington are criss-crossing overhead cables. I felt fortunate to have found both in the one spot here. The title of the photograph I owe to my wife, who was inspired by the book “The Day of the Triffids” by John Wyndham.
