timber houses on steep slope

As I climber higher I noticed that the width of the streets were less, and I thought, when it rained the water would gush down. Zero in for the bigger size

I absolutely love your photos. They evoke for me the Wellington I remember: the little wooden houses on those winding hilly streets, and here and there an oddly shaped one where it has been built to fit on a tiny section. I always loved the trees that have been blown out of shape by the wind - or rather, blown into a particular, lop-sided shape. I left Wellington to live in Christchurch in 1974 and have had only a couple of fleeting visits since. You're making me very homesick.

you have described Wellington just as I see it. I'm glad you are enjoying the photos. I have only been here for a few years and I seem to find plenty of photographic subjects here.
