grass, dirt with buildings

I walked across a part of town, more or less in a straight line, to see what I might find. For no particular reason I took a photo here, possibly I liked the way the dirt was similar in colour to the building. I am finding myself more interested in the topography of this place, the way the buildings sit in the landscape. They do seem somewhat tenuous perched among the hills and sitting on the dirt. The big view is here.

walk in small park

walk in small park, originally uploaded by Lester Ralph Blair.

I left the car at home, I use it all week for work now, better to walk I thought, and go to the park. There were people there walking about, or just sitting down. A good as place as any, I thought, to take a photo. Click here see more of the sunshine

seaside, boats, houses, and general shrubbery

Up some steps and a steep path and between grass and shrubby plants I found this view of Island Bay, this is where Wellington faces the Cook Strait, and here the weather can be very interesting. Big view here

two scraggly trees on a small hill

I was not able to get out with my camera this week, so have posted this one from last week. I was not intending to post it, a little unsure, as it is just two scraggly trees with green grass, where people let their dogs out. click here to see a small person between the trees.

trees, some hills, some houses

The scene is scruffy looking, it is just the way it is, the houses are on the side of hills, they are mostly timber, and this is the way it often looks. This is of course too small, please click here.

television, arm chair, landscape

I want to go some place else but I keep finding more photos in the same location. I came upon a television, an arm chair, and three young men leaving the scene, what else could I do, but take another photo. it needs to be bigger, please click here.
